Course Description
The VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG) training program is designed for Kubernetes administrators, DevOps engineers, cloud architects, platform engineers, virtualization administrators, application developers, infrastructure engineers, and IT professionals who want to deploy, manage, and operate enterprise Kubernetes environments using VMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid. This comprehensive instructor-led online course provides in-depth knowledge of Kubernetes fundamentals, Tanzu architecture, cluster lifecycle management, container orchestration, networking, storage, security, monitoring, automation, and application modernization. Participants will learn how to deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters on VMware vSphere, configure Tanzu Kubernetes Grid, integrate with VMware vCenter, implement container networking, manage persistent storage, secure workloads, automate deployments, and monitor production environments. The course also covers VMware Tanzu Mission Control, Harbor Container Registry, Velero backup and recovery, Cluster API, Tanzu packages, ingress controllers, service mesh concepts, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD integration, observability, and enterprise Kubernetes operations. Through extensive hands-on laboratories, real-world implementation scenarios, production deployment exercises, and a comprehensive capstone project, participants will gain practical experience in building highly available, scalable, secure, and production-ready Kubernetes platforms using VMware Tanzu. By the end of the course, learners will be able to deploy, administer, secure, automate, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize enterprise Kubernetes environments while following cloud-native architecture principles and Kubernetes operational best practices.
