Course Description
Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) develops practical capability in cloud architecture, data protection, platform security, application security, operations, privacy, legal risk, and provider governance.
The course progresses through Cloud Concepts, Reference Architecture, Shared Responsibility, and Design; Cloud Data Lifecycle, Classification, Encryption, Privacy, and Resilience; Platform, Infrastructure, Application, API, and DevSecOps Security; Cloud Operations, Incident Evidence, Legal Risk, Compliance, and Providers. Each lesson turns current ISC2 domain knowledge into role-based decisions, implementation artifacts, validation evidence, troubleshooting, and exam-ready judgment.
Learners work through a cloud security architect guiding a multi-region migration involving regulated data, managed services, and several providers and produce a practical shared-responsibility map, cloud data-flow model, control architecture, secure delivery checklist, operations runbook, provider-risk review, and CCSP readiness record for implementation, review, professional handover, and certification preparation.
What You Will Learn
- Translate cloud service and deployment models into clear shared-responsibility decisions.
- Map sensitive data flows, ownership, residency, retention, and destruction requirements.
- Select encryption, key management, masking, tokenization, and discovery controls for cloud datasets.
- Review virtualized infrastructure designs for isolation, availability, and attack-surface exposure.
- Embed application security into cloud-native development, APIs, containers, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Create operational procedures for monitoring, configuration, incident handling, and digital evidence.
- Analyze contracts, provider assurances, privacy duties, and cross-border compliance obligations.
- Weigh cloud risk treatments using business impact, provider dependency, and exit considerations.
