Course Description
Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) develops practical capability in secure software concepts, lifecycle governance, requirements, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, operations, maintenance, and supply-chain protection.
The course progresses through Secure Software Concepts, Lifecycle Governance, Strategy, and Risk Management; Security Requirements, Privacy, Abuse Cases, Architecture, and Threat Modeling; Secure Implementation, Coding Practices, Dependencies, Testing, and Defect Decisions; Secure Deployment, Operations, Maintenance, Decommissioning, and Supply Chain. Each lesson turns current ISC2 domain knowledge into role-based decisions, implementation artifacts, validation evidence, troubleshooting, and exam-ready judgment.
Learners work through an application security lead improving a product portfolio that uses cloud services, open-source dependencies, APIs, and automated delivery pipelines and produce a practical secure lifecycle strategy, requirements traceability matrix, threat model, architecture decision record, coding standard, security test plan, release gate, supply-chain review, and CSSLP readiness record for implementation, review, professional handover, and certification preparation.
What You Will Learn
- Integrate security objectives into product strategy, governance, and software lifecycle planning.
- Convert legal, privacy, abuse-case, and data-classification needs into testable requirements.
- Select architecture patterns that reduce attack paths while preserving business functionality.
- Guide developers toward secure coding, dependency management, and defensive error handling.
- Design security tests that combine static, dynamic, interactive, and manual techniques.
- Establish release gates using traceability, defect severity, remediation evidence, and residual risk.
- Operate and maintain software securely through monitoring, patching, change, and decommissioning.
- Assess third-party components, build pipelines, repositories, and suppliers for supply-chain exposure.
SkillDynamo Training Approach
Training uses lifecycle governance workshops, misuse cases, threat modeling, code and pipeline reviews, security testing design, release decisions, and software-focused exam practice.
