Course Description
RabbitMQ develops practical capability for a reliable RabbitMQ messaging service that uses deliberate routing, acknowledgements, durability, retry controls, high availability, security, and monitoring to protect message flow across virtualized application environments. The learning path begins with messaging concepts, amqp, broker architecture, and environment setup and progresses through publishers, consumers, acknowledgements, durability, and flow control, keeping architecture, access, dependencies, and measurable acceptance connected.
Applied work is situated in an order-processing platform with bursty producers, multiple consumers, retryable failures, strict delivery expectations, and infrastructure hosted on VMware virtual machines. Participants then address routing patterns, dead letters, ttl, retries, confirms, and rpc and clustering, quorum queues, tls, access control, monitoring, and recovery, using broker architecture sketch and verified messaging baseline, producer-consumer trace and delivery-guarantee test record, routing-pattern test suite and controlled-retry evidence, and RabbitMQ resilience test and secured-operations runbook to compare intended design with observed behavior.
By completion, learners can implement, validate, troubleshoot, and hand over the course workflows with defensible evidence. The final operating record identifies unresolved risks, monitoring requirements, recovery actions, owners, and the next controlled improvement.
What You Will Learn
- Model asynchronous messaging, AMQP concepts, RabbitMQ node architecture against the service outcome, constraints, and evidence required for approval.
- Establish bindings and routing keys, virtual hosts, installation and service startup, management interface, baseline broker validation, then confirm the effective behavior through broker architecture sketch and verified messaging baseline.
- Execute publisher and consumer lifecycle, manual acknowledgements, negative acknowledgements in controlled stages so each dependency and material side effect can be inspected.
- Interrogate producer-consumer trace and delivery-guarantee test record when “messages being acknowledged before business processing and disappearing after a consumer crash” appears, correcting the proven cause instead of masking the symptom.
- Balance direct exchanges, topic exchanges, fanout exchanges against resilience, least privilege, performance headroom, and operational simplicity.
- Validate message and queue TTL, retry topologies, publisher confirms, transaction awareness, request-reply and RPC across expected, exceptional, and recovery flows before signing off the implementation.
- Resolve “a cluster appearing healthy while a network partition prevents quorum for critical queues” by comparing baseline, failure-state, and post-correction evidence.
- Package RabbitMQ resilience test and secured-operations runbook for handover with monitoring thresholds, recovery steps, change notes, and improvement priorities.
SkillDynamo Training Approach
The course follows messages from publisher to exchange, queue, consumer, retry path, and cluster replica, with each lab retaining broker configuration, protocol evidence, and failure tests. Delivery includes instructor demonstrations, guided exercises, scenario comparison, validation checklists, structured troubleshooting, and an evidence-backed improvement plan.
