Course Description

Mastering Microservices with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud develops hands-on understanding of Microservice boundaries, domain decomposition, Spring Boot services, REST contracts, Spring Cloud Config, service discovery, client-side load balancing. Learners move from requirements and dependencies to implementation, validation, troubleshooting, and supportable VMware operations.

Later lessons examine Resilience patterns, timeouts, retries, circuit breakers, OAuth, token validation, tracing. Participants use service-boundary model and API contract test suite, configuration and discovery integration record, resilience test report and compensation-flow evidence, microservices production-readiness pack and operations guide to distinguish configuration, access, network, storage, performance, and lifecycle issues rather than treating them as one generic failure.

After the four lessons, learners can help establish a resilient microservices solution built with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud, supported by service discovery, configuration management, observability, secure APIs, and controlled deployment. They also document follow-up actions for performance, security, lifecycle, support, and adoption.
