CI/CD with Ansible and Terraform
Develop practical skills in building an end-to-end delivery chain where Terraform provisions infrastructure, Ansible configures systems, and CI/CD pipelines promote controlled changes through four course-specific lessons, guided implementation, validation, troubleshooting, and operational evidence.

Course Description
This course connects infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and delivery automation into one operating model. Learners examine where Terraform ends, where Ansible begins, and how pipeline orchestration prevents manual drift between environments.
The course uses repository-driven workflows, environment promotion, remote state, inventories, secrets, approvals, and rollback evidence. Particular attention is given to handoffs between infrastructure code and post-provisioning configuration.
By the end, learners can design a traceable delivery workflow that provisions a target environment, configures it consistently, validates the result, and exposes failures early enough for safe correction.
What You Will Learn
- Design and implement Infrastructure provisioning versus configuration management for CI/CD with Ansible and Terraform.
- Validate Repository structure for Terraform and Ansible assets, Environment variables, inventories, and dependency handoffs, and Definition of done for provisioned and configured infrastructure through practical evidence and controlled change.
- Design and implement Provider configuration and reusable modules for CI/CD with Ansible and Terraform.
- Validate Remote state, locking, workspaces, and environment separation, Variables, outputs, data sources, and dependency graphs, and Plan review, policy gates, and controlled apply through practical evidence and controlled change.
- Design and implement Dynamic inventory and Terraform output consumption for CI/CD with Ansible and Terraform.
- Validate Roles, handlers, templates, variables, and idempotency, Secrets handling and privilege escalation, and Configuration tests and service-readiness checks through practical evidence and controlled change.
- Design and implement Pipeline stages for validate, plan, apply, configure, test, and promote for CI/CD with Ansible and Terraform.
- Validate Artifacts, approvals, protected branches, and environment gates, Failure handling, rollback choices, and state recovery, and Logs, reports, metrics, and operational handoff through practical evidence and controlled change.
SkillDynamo Training Approach
Training is organized around a multi-environment delivery case study. Learners build the pipeline in stages, deliberately introduce state, inventory, secret, and configuration failures, and finish by producing an auditable promotion and rollback playbook.
