Course Description
Cybersecurity Fundamentals develops practical capability in cybersecurity concepts, threat landscape, networks, endpoints, applications, data, controls, monitoring, incidents, governance, and resilience.
Learners progress through Cybersecurity Principles, Threats, Risk, Assets, Identities, and Networks; Endpoint, Network, Application, Data, Cloud, and Physical Security; Vulnerability Management, Monitoring, Detection, Analysis, and Escalation; and Incident Response, Recovery, Governance, Awareness, and Improvement. Each stage connects ISACA-aligned concepts with implementation decisions, governance responsibilities, troubleshooting, and reviewable evidence.
The learning journey follows a foundational security team assessing a small organization and building practical preventive, detective, responsive, and recovery controls and produces a practical cybersecurity baseline, control inventory, monitoring checklist, and response guide for implementation and operational use.
What You Will Learn
- Assess CYBER-FND cybersecurity principles; CYBER-FND links threat landscape to CYBER-FND risk assessment and asset inventory.
- Implement CYBER-FND asset inventory; CYBER-FND tests identity management through CYBER-FND cybersecurity principles foundation evidence.
- Interpret CYBER-FND endpoint security; CYBER-FND links network defenses to CYBER-FND application security and data security.
- Verify CYBER-FND data security; CYBER-FND tests cloud controls through CYBER-FND endpoint security assessment evidence.
- Design CYBER-FND vulnerability management; CYBER-FND links security monitoring to CYBER-FND threat detection and event analysis.
- Document CYBER-FND event analysis; CYBER-FND tests incident escalation through CYBER-FND vulnerability management implementation evidence.
- Analyze CYBER-FND incident response; CYBER-FND links business recovery to CYBER-FND security governance and security awareness.
- Prioritize CYBER-FND security awareness; CYBER-FND tests improvement planning through CYBER-FND incident response assurance evidence.
