Course Description
ISO/TS 22317 Introduction develops practical capability to understand business impact analysis purpose, governance, impact criteria, recovery priorities, dependencies, and documented outputs. The learning path begins with bia purpose, governance, scope, roles, and information requirements and advances through products, services, processes, activities, dependencies, and resource mapping, connecting requirements and methods with accountable roles, reviewable evidence, and measurable decisions.
Applied work is anchored to a business continuity team preparing its first consistent BIA across services, processes, technology, people, facilities, and suppliers. Learners then address impact categories, time horizons, mtpd, rto, rpo, and prioritization and bia reporting, approval, strategy inputs, maintenance, and improvement, producing BIA scope and governance worksheet, process and dependency inventory, impact and recovery-priority register, and BIA report and maintenance plan.
The completed learning path enables participants to perform structured analysis, validate exceptions, communicate decisions, and maintain an improvement record with named owners.
