Course Description
Certified Linux Foundations (PECB) develops practical capability to build practical Linux administration foundations covering command-line work, files, users, services, networking, security, and troubleshooting. The four-lesson path moves from core principles and governance into applied controls, evidence, exceptions, and accountable improvement.
Applied work is based on a junior operations team supporting Linux servers used for web, database, automation, and internal services. Learners create Linux command and navigation workbook, permissions and process administration checklist, service and network operations runbook, and Linux troubleshooting and handover plan, while testing decisions against realistic operational constraints.
By completion, participants can interpret the subject, perform the relevant workflow, evaluate evidence, communicate supported conclusions, and hand over prioritized actions with clear ownership and follow-up.
What You Will Learn
- Explain Linux architecture and command-line navigation; practically connect it to confident system interaction.
- Map files, directories, and permission models; practically record evidence for controlled resource access.
- Evaluate users, groups, processes, and packages; practically test criteria supporting reliable basic administration.
- Apply services, logs, and startup behaviour; practically create evidence for visible operational health.
- Identify gaps in storage and filesystem concepts; practically protect safe capacity management.
- Document networking and secure remote access; practically link decisions to connected protected systems.
- Resolve troubleshooting commands and evidence scenarios; practically choose controls for methodical fault isolation.
- Present backup, automation, and handover practices findings; practically prioritize repeatable support operations.
SkillDynamo Training Approach
Delivery uses practical demonstrations, role-based exercises, case decisions, evidence validation, peer review, troubleshooting guidance, and a prioritized closing action plan. Activities are tailored to Certified Linux Foundations (PECB) and its operational setting.
