Course Description
This course combines Terraform Associate knowledge with IBM Cloud implementation. Learners move between exam-oriented Terraform concepts and the provider-specific decisions required to create IBM Cloud resources safely.
The course covers authentication, provider configuration, VPC networking, compute, service instances, identity controls, remote state, modules, and deployment troubleshooting. IBM Cloud resource identifiers and region-aware design are treated as first-class concerns.
Learners finish with an IBM Cloud reference environment and a revision map linking practical tasks to the Terraform workflow, state, modules, providers, and collaboration concepts assessed in associate-level study.
What You Will Learn
- Design and implement Terraform workflow, state, providers, and dependency graph for Terraform Certified Associate with IBM Cloud.
- Validate IBM Cloud provider authentication and region targeting, Resource groups, service IDs, API keys, and access boundaries, and Plan interpretation and associate-level scenario reasoning through practical evidence and controlled change.
- Design and implement VPC, address prefixes, subnets, and routing for Terraform Certified Associate with IBM Cloud.
- Validate Security groups, public gateways, and floating IP choices, Virtual server instances, images, profiles, and SSH keys, and Dependencies, outputs, and environment validation through practical evidence and controlled change.
- Design and implement Service instances and service credentials for Terraform Certified Associate with IBM Cloud.
- Validate IAM policies, service IDs, and access groups, Remote state design and collaboration, and Sensitive values, outputs, and secret handling through practical evidence and controlled change.
- Design and implement Reusable IBM Cloud module design for Terraform Certified Associate with IBM Cloud.
- Validate Variables, validation, outputs, and module contracts, Drift, import, taint replacement concepts, and lifecycle, and Associate-style review questions and final environment checks through practical evidence and controlled change.
SkillDynamo Training Approach
Labs follow an IBM Cloud landing-zone storyline. Learners first create the network and access foundation, then deploy services, convert repeated patterns into modules, and use plan evidence to answer associate-style scenario questions.
