Course Description
ISO 30301 Lead Auditor develops practical capability to lead ISO 30301 audits of records governance, capture, metadata, access, retention, disposition, assurance, and corrective action. The learning path begins with audit principles, iso 30301 requirements, programme, scope, criteria, and competence and advances through records context, policy, roles, processes, risk, objectives, and audit planning, connecting requirements and methods with accountable roles, reviewable evidence, and measurable decisions.
Applied work is anchored to a regulated organization seeking independent assurance over physical and digital records across business systems and archives. Learners then address metadata, classification, capture, access, retention, disposition, and evidence and findings, reporting, closing, corrective action, follow-up, and certification decisions, producing records management audit programme, records process and evidence sampling plan, records control finding matrix, and lead auditor report and follow-up record.
On completion, learners can translate the subject into repeatable work, challenge weak evidence, explain decisions, and hand over prioritized improvements with clear ownership.
