Course Description
Disaster Recovery Foundation develops practical capability to develop foundational disaster recovery capability from governance and impact analysis through strategy, plan execution, testing, and assurance. The learning path begins with recovery governance, policy, programme, scope, roles, risk, and service inventory and progresses into business impact analysis, dependencies, rto, rpo, mtpd, priorities, and resource requirements, connecting requirements and methods with clear ownership, defensible evidence, and measurable decisions.
Applied work is anchored to an enterprise coordinating technology recovery across data centers, cloud services, business teams, vendors, and crisis communications. Learners then address technology recovery, data protection, sites, suppliers, communications, and plan development and exercises, failover validation, metrics, maintenance, audit, lessons, and continual readiness, producing DR programme charter and service inventory, BIA and recovery objective register, technology recovery plan portfolio, exercise evidence and readiness report.
By completion, participants can interpret the subject, perform the relevant workflow, evaluate exceptions, communicate supported conclusions, and hand over prioritized actions with named ownership and follow-up.
