Course Description
EBIOS develops practical capability to apply the EBIOS risk method to business values, feared events, threat sources, scenarios, and security treatment decisions. The learning path begins with ebios method, workshop governance, business values, supporting assets, and feared events and progresses into risk sources, targeted objectives, ecosystem dependencies, and strategic scenarios, connecting requirements and methods with clear ownership, defensible evidence, and measurable decisions.
Applied work is anchored to a digital service owner analyzing strategic and operational cyber-risk scenarios with business, technical, and supplier stakeholders. Learners then address operational scenarios, attack paths, likelihood, impact, and existing security measures and treatment options, residual risk, decision records, monitoring, and risk communication, producing EBIOS scope and feared-event workbook, strategic scenario and ecosystem map, operational attack-path analysis, risk treatment and decision dossier.
By completion, participants can interpret the subject, perform the relevant workflow, evaluate exceptions, communicate supported conclusions, and hand over prioritized actions with named ownership and follow-up.
What You Will Learn
- Explain the EBIOS method, workshop structure, governance roles, and expected risk-management outputs.
- Identify business values, supporting assets, feared events, and important security consequences.
- Analyze risk sources, targeted objectives, ecosystem dependencies, and credible strategic scenarios.
- Build operational scenarios by tracing attack paths across people, processes, technologies, and partners.
- Estimate likelihood and impact while considering existing measures, exposure, and attacker capability.
- Compare treatment options and select proportionate controls for prioritized risk scenarios.
- Document residual risk, decision rationale, responsibilities, monitoring indicators, and review triggers.
- Communicate EBIOS conclusions clearly to business owners, security teams, and executive stakeholders.
SkillDynamo Training Approach
Training follows EBIOS workshop analysis work from context and planning through implementation, evidence review, exception analysis, validation, and improvement. Delivery combines instructor demonstrations, hands-on exercises, scenario analysis, course-specific checklists, structured troubleshooting, and a final improvement plan.
