Course Description
ISA/IEC 62443 Lead Implementer Training develops practical capability to implement an ISA/IEC 62443 industrial cybersecurity programme using risk, zones, security levels, lifecycle controls, and assurance. The learning path begins with iacs concepts, standards, roles, zones, conduits, and governance and risk, threats, vulnerabilities, security levels, and requirements, connecting PECB and ISO requirements with governance, evidence, stakeholder decisions, and measurable acceptance.
Applied work is framed around an industrial environment containing control systems, safety functions, remote access, vendors, and legacy equipment. Learners then progress through secure lifecycle, access, remote support, patch, and supplier controls and monitoring, incident response, recovery, assurance, and improvement, producing industrial security architecture and governance map, IACS risk and security-requirement register, industrial security implementation evidence pack, and IACS security assurance and improvement report.
By completion, participants can interpret applicable requirements, perform implementation, audit, assessment, or foundation activities, evaluate evidence, communicate supported conclusions, and hand over clear improvement actions with ownership and follow-up.
What You Will Learn
- Clarify IACS security concepts and ISA/IEC 62443 series; establish asset-owner roles as the industrial baseline.
- Connect supplier roles with zones and conduits, assigning industrial ownership for security governance and system inventory.
- Assess industrial risk assessment, threat scenarios, and vulnerability analysis before approving industrial consequence analysis decisions.
- Apply IACS risk and security-requirement to validate target security levels, security requirements, and industrial expectations.
- Build industrial controls that strengthen secure development lifecycle, identity and access, and remote access consistently.
- Validate supplier assurance through industrial configuration control scenarios, documenting results against backup.
- Trace security monitoring, industrial incident response, and forensic readiness to identify industrial gaps requiring recovery.
- Maintain IACS security assurance and through control testing testing, audit ownership, and scheduled continual improvement reviews.
SkillDynamo Training Approach
Learners translate industrial risk into zones, conduits, requirements, secure lifecycle practices, supplier controls, and operating assurance. Delivery includes instructor demonstrations, guided exercises, scenario analysis, validation checklists, structured troubleshooting, and a final improvement plan.
