Course Description
Cloud Security Essentials (CSE) develops practical capability in cloud security architecture, shared responsibility, identity, data protection, workload controls, monitoring, incident response, and governance.
Learners progress through Cloud Models, Shared Responsibility, Architecture, Risk, and Governance; Identity, Network, Data, Keys, Secrets, and Workload Protection; Application Security, Posture Management, Logging, Detection, and Response; and Compliance, Multi-Cloud Operations, Validation, Metrics, and Improvement. Each stage connects EC-Council concepts with implementation decisions, operational controls, troubleshooting, and reviewable evidence.
The learning journey follows a cloud team must deploy and operate workloads across shared-responsibility boundaries while maintaining identity, data, visibility, and compliance controls and produces a practical cloud responsibility matrix, IAM review, data-protection checklist, and security baseline for implementation and operational use.
What You Will Learn
- Design service models for CSE; connect shared responsibility with CSE evidence and cloud architecture.
- Verify risk assessment in CSE; test policy guardrails against CSE records and governance.
- Prioritize cloud IAM across CSE; compare network security through CSE analysis and data protection.
- Coordinate key management during CSE; trace secret management into CSE findings and workload hardening.
- Analyze application controls around CSE; verify posture management using CSE checks and cloud logging.
- Improve detection engineering through CSE; challenge incident response with CSE scenarios and forensic readiness.
- Explain compliance mapping for CSE; isolate multi-cloud controls via CSE evidence and configuration validation.
- Apply security metrics within CSE; hand over exception management beside CSE controls and improvement roadmap.
