Course Description
Threat Intelligence Essentials (TIE) develops practical capability in foundational threat intelligence, source evaluation, indicators, adversary behavior, analysis, reporting, and defensive use.
Learners progress through Threat Intelligence Fundamentals, Requirements, Sources, and Collection; Indicators, TTPs, Enrichment, Processing, and Analytical Confidence; Threat Actors, Campaigns, Attack Chains, Risk, and Defensive Mapping; and Intelligence Reports, Sharing, Operational Use, Feedback, and Improvement. Each stage connects EC-Council concepts with implementation decisions, operational controls, troubleshooting, and reviewable evidence.
The learning journey follows an entry-level analyst must collect and interpret threat information, communicate confidence, and support defensive priorities without confusing raw data with intelligence and produces a practical TIE requirements sheet, indicator workbook, threat brief, and defensive action plan for implementation and operational use.
What You Will Learn
- Assess intelligence concepts for TIE; connect requirements with TIE evidence and open sources.
- Implement internal sources in TIE; test collection planning against TIE records and source reliability.
- Map indicators across TIE; compare TTPs through TIE analysis and data enrichment.
- Evaluate normalization during TIE; trace hypothesis testing into TIE findings and confidence levels.
- Distinguish threat actors around TIE; verify campaigns using TIE checks and attack chains.
- Document risk context through TIE; challenge control mapping with TIE scenarios and detection opportunities.
- Design report formats for TIE; isolate audience needs via TIE evidence and sharing controls.
- Verify SOC support within TIE; hand over feedback beside TIE controls and process improvement.
