Course Description
Character Animation in 3D Software teaches learners how to bring characters and animated objects to life. The course covers animation fundamentals, motion principles, simple character construction, anatomy-aware movement, walk and run cycles, timing, anticipation, follow-through, overlapping action, and expressive acting through body posture.
What You Will Learn
- Map animation foundations including frame rates, key poses, and motion observation methods.
- Build object motion that communicates weight, timing, material behavior, and physical response.
- Configure simple character rigs using anatomy, joints, arcs, and clean movement planning.
- Refine motion principles such as anticipation, overshoot, follow-through, and overlapping action.
- Validate walk and run cycles with balanced poses, rhythm, spacing, and loop refinement.
- Troubleshoot movement errors caused by stiffness, poor timing, unclear arcs, or weak posing.
- Present acting shots that express emotion through posture, gesture, and responsive behavior.
