Course Description
Python Security develops practical capability in secure Python development, threat modeling, input and data handling, dependency assurance, API controls, testing, deployment, logging, and maintenance.
Learners progress through Secure Python Design, Environment, Threat Modeling, and Configuration; Input, Data, Identity, Sessions, Cryptography, and Serialization; Code Review, Dependencies, APIs, Testing, and Vulnerability Triage; and Secrets, Deployment, Logging, Monitoring, Patching, and Handover. Each stage connects EC-Council concepts with implementation decisions, operational controls, troubleshooting, and reviewable evidence.
The learning journey follows a Python engineering team preparing a data-processing service for production while protecting inputs, secrets, dependencies, APIs, and runtime behavior and produces a practical Python threat model, secure-code review, dependency report, and production-security checklist for implementation and operational use.
What You Will Learn
- Assess Python-Security secure SDLC for Python-Security; relate Python environment and threat modeling to Python-Security foundation-stage architecture review decisions.
- Implement Python-Security architecture review; connect configuration security and secure SDLC through Python-Security foundation-stage corrective controls.
- Interpret Python-Security input validation for Python-Security; relate data protection and authentication to Python-Security control-stage cryptography decisions.
- Verify Python-Security cryptography; connect serialization safety and input validation through Python-Security control-stage corrective controls.
- Design Python-Security Python code review for Python-Security; relate package dependencies and API security to Python-Security analysis-stage security testing decisions.
- Document Python-Security security testing; connect finding triage and Python code review through Python-Security analysis-stage corrective controls.
- Analyze Python-Security secret management for Python-Security; relate secure deployment and application logging to Python-Security handover-stage runtime monitoring decisions.
- Prioritize Python-Security runtime monitoring; connect patch management and secret management through Python-Security handover-stage corrective controls.
