Course Description
Web Application Hacking and Security (WAHS) develops practical capability in authorized web and penetration testing, attack-surface analysis, controlled validation, lateral-risk assessment, reporting, and remediation verification.
Learners progress through Assessment Governance, Scope, Rules of Engagement, and Test Design; Discovery, Enumeration, Vulnerability Analysis, and Attack-Path Modeling; Web, Network, Identity, Cloud, and Segmentation Validation; and Risk Proof, Reporting, Remediation Priorities, Retesting, and Closure. Each stage connects EC-Council concepts with implementation decisions, operational controls, troubleshooting, and reviewable evidence.
The learning journey follows an authorized assessment team must evaluate a scoped environment without disrupting services and provide reproducible, risk-ranked findings and produces a practical authorized web assessment plan, findings evidence, exploit-validation notes, and remediation retest report for implementation and operational use.
What You Will Learn
- Analyze written authorization for WAHS; connect rules of engagement with WAHS evidence and target scope.
- Improve test objectives in WAHS; test safety controls against WAHS records and communications plan.
- Explain asset discovery across WAHS; compare service enumeration through WAHS analysis and vulnerability analysis.
- Apply attack-path mapping during WAHS; trace risk hypotheses into WAHS findings and evidence capture.
- Interpret web security testing around WAHS; verify network controls using WAHS checks and identity pathways.
- Validate cloud exposure through WAHS; challenge segmentation tests with WAHS scenarios and detection visibility.
- Assess impact evidence for WAHS; isolate technical report via WAHS evidence and executive summary.
- Implement remediation priorities within WAHS; hand over retesting beside WAHS controls and engagement closure.
SkillDynamo Training Approach
