Course Description
Certified Management Systems Internal Auditor develops practical capability to plan and perform internal management-system audits using risk-based programmes, objective evidence, findings, and effective follow-up. The learning path begins with management-system principles, audit ethics, iso 19011 guidance, programme, scope, criteria, and competence and progresses into audit planning, process approach, risk focus, sampling, interviews, documents, and evidence trails, connecting requirements and methods with clear ownership, defensible evidence, and measurable decisions.
Applied work is anchored to an internal audit team evaluating integrated management-system processes across departments, sites, and outsourced activities. Learners then address control evaluation, conformity, findings, nonconformity, root cause, objectivity, and team coordination and audit reporting, closing meeting, corrective action, follow-up, effectiveness, and programme improvement, producing internal audit programme and competency map, risk-based audit plan and working papers, evidence and finding classification register, internal audit report and follow-up record.
By completion, participants can interpret the subject, perform the relevant workflow, evaluate exceptions, communicate supported conclusions, and hand over prioritized actions with named ownership and follow-up.
