Course Description
CDPO develops practical capability to perform the governance, advisory, monitoring, and coordination responsibilities expected of a certified data protection officer. The learning path begins with privacy governance, legal principles, accountability, dpo independence, mandate, and stakeholder advice and progresses into data mapping, lawful basis, notices, consent, rights, records, and retention, connecting requirements and methods with clear ownership, defensible evidence, and measurable decisions.
Applied work is anchored to a group data protection office overseeing complex processing, rights requests, DPIAs, vendors, transfers, and breach response. Learners then address dpia, privacy by design, vendors, international transfers, security, and risk treatment and breach response, monitoring, audit, training, regulator engagement, and improvement, producing DPO mandate and privacy governance charter, processing and rights-compliance register, DPIA and third-party privacy dossier, privacy monitoring and breach readiness report.
By completion, participants can interpret the subject, perform the relevant workflow, evaluate exceptions, communicate supported conclusions, and hand over prioritized actions with named ownership and follow-up.
