Course Description
ISO 30301 Foundation develops practical capability to understand the ISO 30301 management system for records and connect trustworthy records to governance, compliance, and accountability. The learning path begins with records management concepts, iso 30301 structure, context, scope, and interested parties and progresses into leadership, records policy, roles, objectives, planning, and resources, connecting requirements and methods with clear ownership, defensible evidence, and measurable decisions.
Applied work is anchored to an organization standardizing records controls across physical archives, collaboration platforms, and regulated business processes. Learners then address metadata, classification, capture, access, retention, disposition, and control and monitoring, internal audit, management review, nonconformity, and continual improvement, producing records management system context map, records policy and objectives worksheet, classification and retention control register, records assurance and improvement report.
By completion, participants can interpret the subject, perform the relevant workflow, evaluate exceptions, communicate supported conclusions, and hand over prioritized actions with named ownership and follow-up.
