Course Description
S4D437 Transactional Apps with the ABAP RESTful Programming Model develops practical capability in transactional application development with CDS, behavior definitions, managed and unmanaged RAP, draft handling, service binding, testing, and performance.
Learners progress through RAP Architecture, CDS Data Models, Behavior Definitions, Projections, and Service Bindings; Managed Business Objects, Draft, Validations, Determinations, Actions, and Authorizations; Unmanaged Scenarios, Save Sequence, Locking, ETags, Numbering, and Legacy Integration; Fiori Elements Exposure, Testing, Debugging, Performance, and Deployment Governance, connecting SAP behavior with business decisions, controls, and reviewable evidence.
The learning journey follows an ABAP development team building a clean-core transactional service for Fiori elements and API consumers and produces a practical RAP business-object implementation and test portfolio for implementation and operational use.

- Configure behavior definitions and service bindings with reliable master data and integration dependencies.
- Execute managed RAP business objects and interpret resulting documents, messages, and analytical evidence.
