BC402 – Advanced ABAP focuses on the practical decisions required to apply dynamic programming, advanced data processing, runtime type services, shared memory, enhancement technologies, performance techniques, and robust framework patterns to complex ABAP solutions. The four lessons move from foundational design through execution and configuration to validation, troubleshooting, and accountable handover.

The scenario features an enterprise SAP development group extending standard applications and processing high-volume data while protecting upgrade compatibility, runtime stability, and supportability. Learners develop dynamic ABAP implementation workbook, advanced data-processing evidence pack, enhancement strategy and implementation workbook, and advanced ABAP assurance plan while resolving controlled failures covering a runtime-created structure omits a field required by downstream logic; shared state remains stale after a business object changes; two active implementations produce conflicting changes for the same transaction; an enhancement works after transport but fails during a later support package test.

On completion, participants can implement advanced language techniques, use dynamic types safely, select enhancement options, manage shared state, analyze performance, control exceptions, and document upgrade-safe designs.
