Course Description
Red Hat System Administration III: Linux Automation (AU294) – RHEL 10 develops practical capability in enterprise Linux automation with Ansible inventories, playbooks, variables, roles, templates, Vault, and repeatable system administration workflows.
Learners progress through Automation Foundations, Inventories, Configuration, and Ad Hoc Operations; Playbooks, Tasks, Modules, Variables, Facts, and Handlers; Roles, Templates, Vault, Collections, and Troubleshooting; Enterprise Automation Project, Validation, Governance, and Handover. Each stage connects Red Hat technology with implementation decisions, operational controls, troubleshooting, and reviewable evidence.
The learning journey follows a Linux operations team replacing manual server changes with controlled, reusable automation across a RHEL 10 estate and produces a practical RHEL automation design, playbook library, validation record, and operational handover portfolio for implementation and operational use.
What You Will Learn
- Map Ansible control architecture and inventory design across architecture, roles, dependencies, controls, and evidence.
- Configure idempotent playbooks for RHEL administration with reproducible settings and validated prerequisites.
- Execute variables, facts, conditionals, and handlers and interpret outputs, events, logs, and system behavior.
- Diagnose roles, templates, and reusable content collections through targeted checks, traces, and corrective testing.
- Validate secrets protection with Ansible Vault against security, reliability, governance, and acceptance criteria.
- Compare automation failure diagnosis and corrective testing alternatives and explain operational and technical trade-offs.
- Document controlled deployment evidence and change records using repeatable commands, evidence, ownership, and handover notes.
- Improve enterprise automation governance and improvement through monitoring, exception handling, automation, and review cycles.
