Course Description

Oracle Application Express Workshop II Ed 2 strengthens delivery and support capability in secure APEX solution architecture, advanced components, REST data access, automation, performance diagnostics, and global deployment. Learners work within an APEX delivery team modernizing a regulated application while preserving security, usability, and release traceability, linking configuration and process decisions to security, accuracy, availability, and operational ownership.

The curriculum is arranged around Secure Application Architecture and Authorization Schemes; Reusable Components, Dynamic Actions, and Plug-in Lifecycle; REST Data Sources, Web Credentials, and API Consumption; Performance Diagnostics, Deployment Automation, and Translation. Every stage produces practical evidence, a validation record, troubleshooting notes, and a reusable handover outcome.

What You Will Learn

• Apply application architecture, shared components, page groups, and dependency mapping while working through secure application architecture and authorization schemes.
• Validate authentication schemes, authorization schemes, access control roles, and privilege boundaries and resolve issues involving security test cases, failed authorization analysis, and corrective configuration.
• Apply lists, navigation menus, LOVs, templates, shortcuts, and component reuse while working through reusable components, dynamic actions, and plug-in lifecycle.
• Validate dynamic actions, JavaScript APIs, custom events, and asynchronous page behavior and resolve issues involving versioning, compatibility checks, packaging, and upgrade-safe maintenance.
• Apply REST data source profiles, operations, parameters, and discovery while working through rest data sources, web credentials, and api consumption.
• Validate web credentials, secret handling, authentication methods, and least privilege and resolve issues involving API failure simulation, diagnostics, retries, and user-safe error presentation.
• Apply debug mode, page timing, SQL tracing, advisor findings, and bottleneck isolation while working through performance diagnostics, deployment automation, and translation.
• Validate exports, SQLcl automation, build options, environment substitutions, and release gates and resolve issues involving production readiness review, rollback package, smoke tests, and acceptance evidence.
