Course Description
This advanced phase of the Adobe AEM Back-End Development Training Program is designed to help developers build expertise in enterprise-grade AEM development and administration. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of core AEM technologies, including Sling, OSGi services, run modes, indexing and search optimization, AEM as a Cloud Service, security and permissions, Headless CMS implementations, Remote SPA development, and Dispatcher configurations.
The program combines theoretical concepts with extensive hands-on labs, enabling participants to work with real-world development scenarios such as advanced Sling Models, service development, cloud-native deployments, content delivery APIs, GraphQL, Edge Delivery Services, Universal Editor, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and system maintenance. By the end of the training, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and practical experience required to design, develop, secure, optimize, and maintain scalable AEM solutions for modern enterprise digital experience platforms.
What You Will Learn
- Develop advanced Sling Models, servlets, filters, and backend patterns that support enterprise AEM applications.
- Implement OSGi services, component configurations, bundle activation behavior, and environment-aware service design.
- Configure run modes, repository settings, cloud service readiness, and deployment alignment across development landscapes.
- Optimize queries with Oak indexing, search diagnostics, explain plans, and repository performance investigation techniques.
- Manage users, groups, permissions, service users, access control policies, and security-focused backend workflows.
- Expose headless content using Content Fragments, Sling Model Exporters, GraphQL, and structured delivery APIs.
- Integrate SPA and hybrid architectures with AEM backend services, routing needs, and content synchronization models.
- Troubleshoot maintenance tasks, Dispatcher behavior, logs, performance bottlenecks, and production support scenarios.

Saurabh
With over 12 years of experience in the IT industry, I have spent the last 11 years specializing in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). My expertise encompasses:
- Technical design, architecture, development, deployment, and support of enterprise-level CMS systems using J2EE technologies.
- Business requirement gathering and analysis.
- Presales for Web Content Management and custom-developed solutions.
I also engage in custom projects within AEM and provide training on AEM Cloud with EDS.
Currently, I serve as a technical lead at a well-known service-based company, assisting customers in designing and developing Adobe cloud solutions. I have contributed to various AEM projects both as part of a team and as an individual contributor.
Major accomplishments include:
- Asset Migration, AEM Upgrade & Health Check, Expert Services.
- AEM integrations with various third-party products.
- End-to-end custom solutions using AEM versions 6 to 6.5 Cloud.
- AEM XML Plugin, AEM Forms, Adobe Target, and Adobe Analytics.
In my past experience with two service-based MNCs, I began AEM development with version CQ 5.3 and implemented AEM for over 15 customers. I also worked on AEM integrations with eCommerce products like ATG and Hybris, and helped build a full-fledged team of AEM developers while collaborating closely with presales teams.
Major accomplishments during this time include:

Previously imported course feedback
Faheem Khan, Kuwait: The Advanced Adobe AEM Training exceeded my expectations. The sessions covered not only the core AEM concepts but also modern topics like OSGI, SPA, and Headless implementations. The hands-on exercises helped me apply the concepts immediately in my projects.
Charles Bobby, Usa: I have been working with AEM for a few years, but this course helped me understand the platform at a much deeper level. The modules on Sling, OSGi, indexing, and Dispatcher were especially valuable. The practical examples reflected real-world scenarios that I encounter in my day-to-day work.
Marco, Australia: What I appreciated most about this training was the balance between theory and practical implementation. The instructor explained complex topics such as query optimization, AEM deployments, and security configurations in a simple and easy-to-understand manner. Highly recommended for experienced AEM developers
Nashra Begum, India: The training provided excellent coverage of advanced AEM development concepts. I particularly enjoyed the sections on Headless AEM, GraphQL, and Perforamce Optimization. The lab activities were engaging and helped reinforce the concepts effectively.
Peter K, Usa: The advanced search and indexing module was extremely useful. Before this training, I struggled with query performance issues in AEM. After completing the course, I have a much better understanding of Oak indexing, query optimization, and troubleshooting techniques.
Ahmed AL Mustafa, Dubai: I found the capstone exercises and hands-on labs to be the strongest part of the training. Building practical solutions using Sling Models, OSGi services, GraphQL, and Remote SPA concepts helped bridge the gap between theory and real-world implementation.
