Course Description
SAP Financial Planning and Budgeting develops the practical capability to design financial planning structures, prepare budgets, allocate costs, manage versions, perform forecasts, and analyze budget performance in SAP. The course connects SAP concepts with controlled execution, evidence-based decisions, and responsibilities that can be reviewed after implementation.
Applied work follows a finance team coordinating annual budgets and rolling forecasts across cost centers, profit centers, projects, and management reporting structures. Learners create financial planning foundation workbook, integrated budget evidence pack, forecast and approval control register, budget reconciliation and governance plan. Scenario testing addresses realistic conditions including a budget is entered against an inactive cost center and excluded from management reporting; a headcount assumption changes payroll cost without updating cash requirements; an approved version is adjusted directly without preserving the original baseline; a favorable variance is caused by missing actuals rather than improved performance.
By completion, participants can apply the relevant SAP processes and configuration, explain observed results, correct supported exceptions, and hand over monitored controls that sustain disciplined financial planning and budgeting.
