Course Description
AC010: Business Processes in Financial Accounting equips participants to execute core SAP Financial Accounting processes across general ledger, payables, receivables, asset accounting, and closing. Each lesson links SAP objects and process decisions to operational controls, integration behavior, and evidence that can be reviewed.
The practical case concerns a finance team standardizing daily postings, vendor and customer processing, asset transactions, payment activities, reconciliation, and period-end reporting. Course activities produce financial accounting foundation workbook, accounts-payable process evidence pack, receivables and asset transaction workbook, and financial close and reconciliation plan and require learners to investigate a posting is rejected because period, field status, or account control is inconsistent; the payment proposal excludes a due invoice without a supported reason; an incoming payment remains unmatched despite valid customer and reference data; a subledger total does not reconcile with the general ledger at period end.
After the course, learners can process accounting transactions, trace subledger integration, reconcile balances, perform closing activities, and explain financial statement effects.
