Course Description
EWM100 – Extended Warehouse Management Processes equips participants to operate core SAP EWM inbound, outbound, internal, and inventory processes with clear stock and task visibility. Each lesson links SAP objects and process decisions to operational controls, integration behavior, and evidence that can be reviewed.
The practical case concerns an omnichannel warehouse introducing EWM to coordinate receiving, deconsolidation, putaway, wave picking, packing, and exception handling. Course activities produce EWM landscape and master-data readiness map, inbound EWM process validation pack, outbound wave and fulfillment evidence workbook, and EWM exception and inventory assurance plan and require learners to investigate warehouse product data is incomplete for the selected process; deconsolidation creates a warehouse task for the wrong activity area; a released wave leaves a priority item without an executable task; monitoring shows stock in a bin that cannot satisfy an open warehouse task.
After the course, learners can navigate EWM objects, process warehouse tasks, monitor stock and resources, resolve exceptions, and document operational handover controls.
What You Will Learn
- Map EWM warehouse structures to the roles, data, and controls governing controlled EWM execution.
- Apply product and packaging data so daily controlled EWM execution activities remain consistent and reviewable.
- Perform inbound delivery processing using the correct SAP documents, statuses, and approval evidence.
- Test deconsolidation and putaway across normal processing, integration dependencies, and access restrictions.
- Investigate wave-based outbound processing when observed outcomes conflict with documented business expectations.
- Correct picking and packing issues and prove the fix through focused, traceable retesting.
- Use replenishment and internal movements results to explain risk, performance, and next-step priorities.
- Document warehouse monitor exceptions ownership, review frequency, evidence retention, and escalation criteria.
