Course Description
R12.2.9 Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning Fundamentals develops applied skills across Oracle ASCP data collection, plan setup, constraints, supply-demand balancing, exceptions, pegging, simulation, safety stock, and plan reconciliation. Learners work within a planning team building a constrained supply plan across manufacturing, purchasing, inventory, and customer demand, linking configuration and process decisions to security, accuracy, availability, and operational ownership.
The course progresses through VCP Architecture, Planning Data, and Collection Strategy; Plan Options, Constraints, and Decision Rules; Planner Workbench, Exceptions, Pegging, and Simulation; Safety Stock, Forecasts, Performance, and Plan Reconciliation. Every stage produces practical evidence, a validation record, troubleshooting notes, and a reusable handover outcome.
What You Will Learn
- Apply Value Chain Planning architecture, source/target instances, planning server, and responsibility model while working through vcp architecture, planning data, and collection strategy.
- Validate items, organizations, bills, routings, resources, suppliers, sourcing, and demand data and resolve issues involving collection logs, missing entities, data quality checks, and source reconciliation.
- Apply plan types, organizations, time horizons, buckets, demand classes, and inclusion rules while working through plan options, constraints, and decision rules.
- Validate material, resource, capacity, lead-time, sourcing, and supplier constraints and resolve issues involving plan-option validation, unrealistic assumptions, and controlled baseline creation.
- Apply plan launch, status, memory use, run diagnostics, and output verification while working through planner workbench, exceptions, pegging, and simulation.
- Validate planner workbench, supply/demand views, pegging, actions, and firming and resolve issues involving what-if changes, simulations, comparison, release recommendations, and decision logs.
- Apply safety stock methods, service levels, demand variability, and inventory policy while working through safety stock, forecasts, performance, and plan reconciliation.
- Validate forecast consumption, demand priorities, sales orders, and dependent demand and resolve issues involving plan-to-source reconciliation, KPI review, approval, release, and operational handover.
Training Approach
Guided demonstrations, hands-on configuration, scenario analysis, validation checklists, controlled failure testing, troubleshooting, solution review, and a final improvement plan are used throughout R12.2.9 Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning Fundamentals. Learners document assumptions, settings, outputs, exceptions, corrective actions, rollback needs, and operational responsibilities.
