Course Description

Oracle Application Express Workshop II prepares learners to work confidently with advanced APEX application behavior, reusable components, dynamic interfaces, REST integration, security, deployment, and performance. Learners work within a development team extending a business application with richer workflows, external services, and production-grade controls, linking configuration and process decisions to security, accuracy, availability, and operational ownership.

Four connected stages cover Collections and Advanced Session-State Design; Dynamic Actions, Plug-ins, and Rich Interactivity; RESTful Services, Table APIs, and Integration Patterns; Themes, Security, Deployment, Performance, and Globalization. Every stage produces practical evidence, a validation record, troubleshooting notes, and a reusable handover outcome.

What You Will Learn

• Apply APEX collections, temporary business data, member lifecycle, and data typing while working through collections and advanced session-state design.
• Validate session state protection, item persistence, page processing, and branching behavior and resolve issues involving debugging stale state, duplicate submissions, and inconsistent collection data.
• Apply dynamic action events, conditions, affected elements, and execution order while working through dynamic actions, plug-ins, and rich interactivity.
• Validate client-side JavaScript, declarative refresh, dialogs, and interactive UI behavior and resolve issues involving browser diagnostics, accessibility checks, and regression-safe interface changes.
• Apply REST-enabled SQL, REST modules, templates, handlers, and privilege controls while working through restful services, table apis, and integration patterns.
• Validate web source modules, credentials, pagination, transformation, and error mapping and resolve issues involving request tracing, response validation, timeout handling, and service resilience.
• Apply universal theme components, templates, theme styles, and responsive behavior while working through themes, security, deployment, performance, and globalization.
• Validate authentication, authorization, session security, substitution risks, and hardening and resolve issues involving performance diagnostics, translation, globalization, and post-release validation.

Training Approach

Guided demonstrations, hands-on configuration, scenario analysis, validation checklists, controlled failure testing, troubleshooting, solution review, and a final improvement plan are used throughout Oracle Application Express Workshop II. Learners document assumptions, settings, outputs, exceptions, corrective actions, rollback needs, and operational responsibilities.
