Course Description
Siebel Open UI Foundations develops practical capability in Siebel Open UI architecture, manifest configuration, presentation models, physical renderers, styling, and debugging. The course is organized around a Siebel application team introducing supported client customizations while preserving upgradeability and runtime performance.
Learners move through four connected stages: Open UI Architecture, Repository Objects, and Manifest Configuration; Presentation Models, Physical Renderers, and Event Handling; Themes, Layout, Styling, and Reusable Client Features; and Debugging, Deployment, Cache Control, and Upgrade Readiness. Each stage links technical or business decisions to measurable evidence, risk controls, and operational ownership.
What You Will Learn
- Explain and apply Open UI client architecture, server metadata, browser runtime, and object flow within Siebel Open UI Foundations.
- Configure, analyze, validate, or troubleshoot applets, views, controls, list columns, events, and client metadata, manifest administration, expressions, file associations, sequencing, and scope, and customization requirement, supportability boundary, registration, and baseline test using course-specific evidence.
- Explain and apply presentation model properties, methods, notifications, and proxy behavior within Siebel Open UI Foundations.
- Configure, analyze, validate, or troubleshoot physical renderer binding, DOM construction, lifecycle methods, and cleanup, event attachment, field and applet events, validation, and user interaction, and custom PM and PR pair, namespace discipline, logging, and functional evidence using course-specific evidence.
- Explain and apply CSS architecture, selectors, themes, cascading, and responsive behavior within Siebel Open UI Foundations.
- Configure, analyze, validate, or troubleshoot templates, layout, icons, accessibility, localization, and browser compatibility, plug-in wrappers, reusable modules, third-party libraries, and dependency control, and visual regression checks, performance impact, support standards, and documentation using course-specific evidence.
- Explain and apply browser developer tools, SiebelJS logs, breakpoints, network calls, and DOM inspection within Siebel Open UI Foundations.
- Configure, analyze, validate, or troubleshoot manifest cache, client cache, file deployment, web-server delivery, and invalidation, JavaScript errors, event duplication, memory leaks, and cross-browser defects, and promotion checklist, rollback, upgrade-delta review, and maintenance handoff using course-specific evidence.
SkillDynamo Training Approach
The training follows a Siebel application team introducing supported client customizations while preserving upgradeability and runtime performance. Activities combine course-specific demonstrations, guided implementation, hands-on exercises, scenario analysis, validation checklists, structured troubleshooting, solution review, and a final improvement plan. Learners document assumptions, settings, commands or transactions, outputs, exceptions, corrective actions, governance trade-offs, rollback needs, and operational ownership.
